Mention a user in a message
When you want to call someone's attention to your message (or a particular part of your message) you can mention (or "tag") them.
When you do, they'll receive an email notification that they've been mentioned, so they know to pay extra attention to what you just posted.
How to mention someone in a message
Mentioning someone is easy. Within the text composer of your message, type "@" and begin typing the person's name.
When you see their name pop up, click it. That will insert their name and avatar in your message, which will notify them that they've been mentioned.
Who is available to mention in a message?
Who you can mention depends on the context you're mentioning them in. Here are the details:
Public conversation: If your conversation's visibility (Conversation > Settings > Visibility) is set to "Anyone can view," all of the contacts in your Clarityflow account will show up as options to mention.
Private conversation: If your conversation's visibility is set to "Private," then only participants of the conversation will show up as options for you to mention.
Group: In a Group, only the group's members will show up as options for you to mention.
What does the other person see when you mention them?
When you mention someone in a message, they receive an email notification telling them they've been mentioned in a message. When they open the email notification, they can see the content of the message and click the button to be brought directly to that message in Clarityflow.
