Need to call someone's attention to a specific message? Now you can @mention them directly so your message doesn't go unnoticed.
Mentioning someone is simple. Within the text portion of your message, type "@" and then start typing the person's name. If that person is a contact in your account, you'll see their name pop up as an option. Click their name to mention them in your message.
When you mention someone, they'll receive a notification that they were mentioned in your message. For example, you might want to mention someone when:
They're not yet a participant in a public conversation but you want to loop them in. They'll receive a notification that they were mentioned so they can easily click into the conversation and participate.
They're a participant in a group conversation but haven't been active recently. Mentioning them provides an extra nudge that you'd like them to contribute.
Those are only a couple of use cases. Ultimately, mentioning someone is helpful anytime you want to call their attention to your message (or a specific element of your message).
Of course, privacy matters—and you'd hate to accidentally mention someone in a conversation they're not a part of (or you don't want them to see). Fortunately, Clarityflow prevents this from happening:
When a conversation is marked as "private," only participants in the current conversation are available as people who can be mentioned.
When mentioning someone in a group, only members of the group are available as people who can be mentioned.
Mentions is one of those features that's simple yet powerful. Tagging someone in your message goes a long way in grabbuing their attention and communicating more clearly. Give it a try for yourself!
